Hey give us a call.. let us know what you need. Though i would recommend getting an initial tune from MRC first, the UTEC allows you to fully tune and make all the changes that you need.

People always say.. tuning is tuning.. its not rocket science, though it maybe true with most cars, this is not so for the VQ.. the VQ is very touchy and blows up really easily on anything it doesn't like. Couple of Supra Tuners in CT have tried tuning VQ's and have blown them up... just wanted to let you know that before you started tweaking with your UTEC.

Anyway.. give the shop a call anytime.. leave a message as they might be working on a car.. Oliver will definately get back to you.

if you were told over the phone to email, then Julian is probably handling the sales of the PL Kits, i know he was on vacation this weekend so it may take him a couple days to respond.. maybe even today.. just hang in there.

an experience tuner? is this person at a shop? or someone you know personally? IF its a shop.. please get some for of garuntee in writing or warranty, because a couple shops in CT have blown up a couple Z's.. one even has blown up about 4 so far.

MRC is exit 9 of the NJTPK... on a good day you can make it there in 1 1/2 hours.. its not a holiday weekend and the Giants/Jets arn't playing so the traffic isn't as bad.

I meant it as im looking for an experienced tuner somewhere close to me. Im also trying to figure out whos going to build my motor. I have a very good engine builder who build 3 LS1 engines for me and an LT1 engine so ill most likely end up going with them for that. Theres no good shops that ive heard of around here and when referring to "supra tuners" I probably know exactly who your talking about and they wont be going near my car. And im 1.5 hours from the border so its prolly a 2.5-3 hour trip down there.

Where in CT are you? I'm in waterbury and i wouldn't let anyone in CT/NY/MA/RI touch my car...

Once you have installed your motor and kit.. you can always get a base tune with the UTEC from MRC and that will allow you to drive down to NJ without boost to get it tuned

im in the wallingford/meriden area. well hopefully the base tune will get me some kind of boost..I plan on breaking the engine in on a few lbs of boost like I did on my TA. Also with the engine build..is there anything specific I should tell my engine builder when doing this motor? Hes done 3 of my LS1 engines and an LT1 engine..

IMO: keep it simple...

pistons and rods(i like BC and CP/wiseco), hks gasket, l19s,....maybe cams if you want...

About your tune. MRC has done plenty of build engine builds i am sure they'll set you off on springs pressure or something nice to start, it shouldnt be a problem.

Also, might wanna add return system to complement the fuel system that comes with the kit if you wanna go for 20-25 psi ANd PLS has a gt37r upgrade too if interested...You dont have to do them, but if you wanna get naugthy with power...
