I suck at tightening hose clamps ... why ???

Default I suck at tightening hose clamps ... why ???

Anyone have any tips for me, everytime I go near my silicone hoses I get a boost leak, what am I doing wrong???

they're called T-bolt clamps. kind of expensive, but you wont have any boost leaks after you make the change from regular clamps. unless you overtighten them and cut the coupler.....

I think what I'm asking is why when I tighten the clamps do they leak but when others tighten them they do not, I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can not do that anymore ...

maybe when you tighten the clamps you dont align them very well?

Yeah, this is probably the problem, I assume you want the clamp to be on the straight part of the tube if possible, right?

i cant say, never done boost clamps, but any hose clamps i always clamp close behind the flared section and as flat as possible.

yes make sure it's on a straight section, you want them to be tight but with regular clamps if you tighten them too much they'll start to twist and strip so don't go too far.
