Default Turbonetics WHP Record?

Does anyone know what the record is for a completely unchanged TN Kit.

I feel that with the advent of the PL kit....the TN kit is becoming old fashioned That piping in the TN is so much smaller and restrictive than the PL

I don't think a 60-1 flows enough air to get you to 550.

Has anyone got 550whp out of this kit?
If you got over 550 with a 75 shot and Gtm did it without any Nitrous doesnt that mean they still make more power then you. Give them a 75 shot and they could esaily "beat you"

Has anyone modified there down pipe to 3'' on the TN kit? I know there isn't much room for a 3'' thought about trying it this fall.

I am not running a 75 shot....

I am just running a built motor and a TN kit.

The people that posted in the record section did. I am just running a built motor and a TN kit.
Why does your sig say procharger?

I guess the way you typed it originally was confusing.. Led us to believe you were running a 75 shot.. but you were stating the poster in the record section did.. makes sense now..

OP forget about it... Its useless to try to mod the TN kit for somethign it wasnt designed.... Recently its been able to reach past the 500whp mark, but not very efficiently at all.
Enjoy the Tn kit for what it is... a good entry level turbo kit, capable of putting 400whp on stock block, cheap*, and easy* to install. IF you really want a capable single turbo setup get the PL kit, or go TT if you prefer that.

I understand what you are saying but if the down pipe off the turbo housing was a larger dia. Air would flow much smother and faster and maybe cooler.. Just a thought. A Guy at Injected Performance gave me the idea he said others had done it and got gains out of the larger dia. piping. It's just such a tight fit.And I want to keep my AC.

I know all about the ups and downs of the TN kit. I have been through Prochargers and TTs but I just want to know what the highest anyone has seen on the TN kit is.

Has anyone done 550whp?

This same thread topic was posted up a week ago. Go into the shop build forum and look for GTM's built turbonetics thread (I'm not doing the searching for anyone else).

I have already seen that thread... They made 526whp with 100 octane mixed in. My question is that the record?
