It would work....if you are able to play music while the GPS is working...you could do the Camp2 the same way...you would just switch between the GPS and Camp.

Do you have to use the Camp2 with the FCON only? Or will it work with another EMS say...Haltech or UTEC?

I have the CAMP2 running through my Alpine IVA-W200 head unit and then running to an aux monitor where the Nav pocket is... I did it that way so I could switch between DVDs, CAMP2, rear backup camera, ect...

The CAMP2 is pretty freaking cool! Only thing I have not been able to figure out is to get it to switch maps on my FCon VPro. It wil display all of the FCon data, but will not switch the maps on the FCon menu and display the next screen like it is supposed to in the directions. I have Sam and Sharif checking into it for me to see why this is.

Here are a few shots I took when I installed it the other day. I need to finish the edges of the frame better, but you get the idea... Had a car show to go to and had to rush the glass/bondo work.

It will work with other EMS, but the data will be limited to "add-on" sensors. The CAMP2 interfaces with the OBD II port THROUGH the F-Con and in addition the add-on sensors through an HKS Interface (IF) module. That means without an F-Con, the factory sensor readings will not be displayed.

For the folks with an F-Con, the CAMP2 is almost a no-brainer because the CAMP2 should be less expensive if you plan to add on more than 3 - 4 conventional guages. PLUS ... the alarm feature should be mandatory for FI applications.

Cool..I don't think you'll be able to access those screens until those particular maps are unlocked by a HKS cert guy. There's also a usb input on the side of the unit..but the directions say that it'll be used in the future...Here's mine. https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ling-week.html ..Anybody know if the connections on the IF unit are HKS only ?...or can they be modified to accept Defi sensors via adapter bungs...

My FCon is not locked, so I should be able to view the maps and do the switching. I could do this with the Navigator when I had it installed, just cant seem to get it to work with the CAMP2, yet...

Oh and you do not need the Nissan Consultant harness to make this work on an OBD2 car, that harness is for pre OBD2 cars.

I also have the 3 HKS DB meters running into the CAMP2 and it reads all of them perfectly. I will be adding a few more sensors so I can monitor them on the display with out the actual physical gauge. I would like to figure out if the FCon can see the sensor data this way so you can run the compensation tables for fuel psi, egt, etc... Anyone know the answer to that?

Whats up "Mad Scientist"

Sharif called me about this same problem....he said to switch the maps...I still may have to do it with the navigator....but he would check into it. I am also hoping I dont have to use the navpro anymore.

Thanks Terry for clarifying for me. I guess i'll definitely have too look into an FCON as well. I just don't like the fact how you MUST go to an authorized dealer.

That could suck... I hope that is not the case, I am sure we just have a setting wrong in the FCon.

But since I always run the car at max power setting I guess it is not a huge issue right now...

+1...thats the reason why I got this thing...other than viewing the a/f on the double din screen cause during the day the sunlight makes the knock amp completely un-readable.

actually you are wrong, the Camp system will display all OBDII sensors w/ or w/ out the FCON. It will also display any sensors connected through the IF port, which for those that have never used this is most of your aftermarket sensors, EGT, Map, Oil Temp/Pressure, Fuel Pressure, I know there is a couple more, but i don't remember them off the top of my head. Biggest advantage to having it coupled w/ the FCON products besides the map switching is that you can save some money on sensors, for instance if you have a Map sensor plugged into the FCON, you can read that through the Camp rather than needing one for the IF unit as well.
