Default Custom vs. Turbo kit....

I was wondering, with the turbo kits coming out soon from a few sources, which is better in your opinion??? Both depend on tuning and such, but which should be trusted more??? With the kits coming out soon, it got me to thinking, SCs are usually kits, but you can get turbos custom pretty easy. Just wondering, any thoughts??

Custom will be cheaper but to my knowledge there are 0 turbo manifolds for the Z as of now. The hard part isn't the hardware its the software (fuel management). If an economical answer could be found for the fuel management there is no reason you couldn't put a turbo together for under $5K.

Yeah, I did talk to someone who said they would replace the ECU completely and make up another whole program. Sounds good, I know that the kits will be running with the stock ECU. With them, I know you will be looking to do some kind of flash or something to get them ready to run the with FI. The procharger also will need something done to the ECU also.

Slam, are you talking parts and labor for $5000?? That does seem about right.
