The other route that is popular on this forum besides going turbo is swapping in a K20mo tor. The K20 motor is by far a better designed engine than the VQ35. It revs to 9700 rpms and all you have to do to get it to 500hp is an exhaust, double intakes, 2-1 headers, cam gears, and tune it with kpro. 90% percent of the forum feels this is the most reliable and cheapest way to get to 500hp.

Hope that helped

I heard running corn oil will put you at 500whp. The EMS would have to be Orville Redenbacher v1.4.

Water injection period! Haven't you heard?? It's the most fascinating mod ever! Everyone's doing it! Two hydrogens in water is used to make hydrogen bombs... It's the strongest **** next to atomic bomb!! If you spray water into your engine, 1000whp is easily achievable... DO iT!

i understand 500 hp is the dream and all the GREAT advice you guys have gathered is going to help out, but wouldnt you like to have a lower quarter mile time in the end so we need to consider weight reduction...so if you take out all of your interior pieces and what i like to do is take a healthy s**t before i get in the car that will def. drop you like 5.9846346 seconds in the 1/4 mile

well it depends. anyway you slice it you will have issues once you force extra HP out of a NA car. its how much less of a hassle is the question you are asking. start off with normal out of the box PSI. learn the car then decide if the normal maint of that is ok for your life stlye and budget. then as you go along you learn you car and what exactly you want out of it. 500hp is a good number but honestly the many guys on here that have it can tell you that its no walk in the park. and very heavy on the wallet, let alone the daily or semi daily time to check and make sure nothing is leaking, or funny smells coming from your car.

dont get a head of your self. check out the link above and take one step at at time.

This thread has seriously made my day.

What pushed me past the 500 mark was making speed holes in my hood with a pick axe. Try it!
