Unfortunately, I don't want to be running over 10psi on my stock block. If I decided to keep the Vortech though, I would have definitely put on the 3.12 with Si-trim and installed a boost-limiter valve.

Not sure on the STS's highest numbers - but the guys hitting 400-500+ hp have upgraded turbos.

LOL Maybe for real minor (reasonable speeding) crap but not for anything more serious. They do get in trouble and do get tickets. Especially if pulled over by another dept. They don't have a free license to do whatever.

A friend of mine is a sheriffs deputy in SB county, he got suspended after being ticketed (chp) for going 150+ on his crotch rocket (off duty).

yeah IMO a vortech with 2.87 pulley and 3.9 gears is fairly torquey at 3000 rpms around town in 1-4 gears from my experience. It's instant too.

I'm at about 290tq at 3000 rpms, then add in a virtual 10% more from the gearing and the tq you feel is pretty decent

My car weighs around 3200 lbs

look it sweams that i am the only one to mention a stillen kit. stillen is out there in so-cal. i would say that for the price range you are looking at stillen might be the right choice. i have a stillen kit and i love it so much. the sound from the supercharger is unmatched and superb. just give them a call and ask for kenny.
