Default Z33ART V-Mount SC+ 928M Billet Impeller=414whp

As many of you know Z33Art has been my v-mount supercharger project that I have been doing for the last year or two.

Well as of today I was able to finally dyno the car!

I hit 394 intially on the dyno with conservative street tuning of both the fuel and timing maps. I then proceeded to install my new toy.... the 928M V-Plus Impeller!! This things is absolutely amazing!!!

I logged my boost for both the stock impeller and the new impeller and saw just over a 15% gain in boost from 2000rpm to redline with the same pullies!

When the day was all said and done I pulled 414whp/355ft-lbs with the new impeller in on a conservative tune just like the stock one for comparison reasons.

However, after getting aggressive with the timing I hit 440whp but started to sputter up top from knock counts. I was running some fairly aggressive timing so it could just be that I need higher octane fuel.

Overall I am happy to finally be done with it and have 99% of the work done finally!!!

Later this fall I should be coming back with the 928M Boost Limiter Valve on along with a smaller pulley and some C16 in the car! Looking to hit 450whp at 10psi agian but with a fat mid-range. My main goal is to build the motor though and switch to a new engine management that can handle the injectors for E85.

Very Very Glad to see that you got this working and that it is working for you. I always thought the idea was great. Congratulations man. What is the likely hood of making kits for people? Or is it even practical? I am sure someone will want to get one.

That is a very nice gain in power and torque. So you only changed the impeller on the blower, or were there other internal changes made to it? Also what is you impeller speed now?

This was only swapping the impeller out and nothing else. I ended up using the same maps also for a good comparison since each impeller just took a different route through the cells.

On my car it took me about 25 minutes to swap the impeller out (JonnyC was there and can vouch for how easy it was).

so do you think all vortech owners can swap out the impeler like that?

looks really nice. Definitely a different setup. Seems like a lot of effort for 414-440whp though, but I'm sure it was fun engineering it all. Too bad the intercooler size had to be compromised. That probably caps the peak power the setup is capable of I'd think. Still, that's an amazing amount of effort and originality you've done to your setup!

I have never taken off the volute on an actual 350z Vortech kit so I am unable to tell you how long it would take to do this on your car for example.

It will fit any car with a Sc-Trim or S-Trim. Not the Si though

In regards to alot of work. It was a bunch of work but it was a blast to make and design. I don't feel that I have limited my peak power yet on my car since the power never started to fall off like you see in high rpm's. The biggest benefit is that I have a ridiculous amount of belt traction which is the limiting factor on the Vortech kits.

8ribs+belt driving just supercharger+tensioner+200+ degrees belt contact= no slip!

Not to mention a better impeller and the fact that my crank pulley is larger that the stock one means I can run a larger pulley and get way more boost than normal.

I can also still install an air/water intercooler with ease that could support way more horsepower!

What piston/compression would you go with when you build your engine?

If I go with E85 I will be going with 10.5 CP and higher boost.

That makes sense!! If I could do it again, id go with a higher compression ratio!!
