Went FI...Now NO AC
i had a powerlab gt35r kit installed at performace factory and since i have not had any ac!! i have checked with jeremy and powerlab themselves and they say its the spring locks.... so i checked with different ac shops and had them replace the seals and spring locks... it held pressure as they charged it but as soon as they started it up and gave it rpm the hose blew right off the condenser??? i have searched and no one really seems to know the answer? has anybody encountered this, if so what did you do? thanks...BTW this is not a slam on performance factory, jeremy and his crew have been great and do awsome work, i just wanted some other feedback.

How is your overall impression of the Powerlab kit?

ya i meant about the AC, but thanks i already got one on order
If it makes you feel any better from what I understand I was the first person to install a powerlab kit that wasn't a shop, I did it in my 1 bedroom apartment's garage.... my AC blows cold....
I guess that doesn't make you feel any better.
either way, I highly doubt it's a powerlab problem. sounds like an issue with whoever removed the freon, installed the powerlab kit and refilled the freon.
I bet they just disconnected the hose and let it blow everywhere, lost oil or maybe blew out a seal? I took my car into Nissan and had them vacuum the freon out, did the work then refilled the freon using the cans from the local parts store.

p.s in order to get to the lower A/C line you will have to remove the downpipe and maybe the turbo, you might get away with just removing the downpipe only.
This is something I WOULD NOT get any normal A/C shop or nissan dealership to do.
