Im thinking about running 18s with r888s. Just want to know how traction is. I have 19s no problem for 2nd gear up.

For me, it's about weight not wheel size. Will the 18s weigh less?

I know nothing about that power level but your braking and turning response is going to improve (and techincally acceleration). Unsprung weight reduction is one of, if not THE, the best thing you can do.

You should get the weight specs and diameter specs of the wheel/tire combos now and before and compare them, there is your answer.

I got 19's with bridgestone re-01r's they arent as sticky(140treadwear vs. 100 i think) as the toyo's but they are an excellent street tire with good grip when warmed up. i dont think my G would look right with 18's so i'll probably wait until i can get the r888's in a 19 inch size or just stick with the bridgestones. btw, i got 500+

lol...

At 500+ I don't think Wheel weight matter anymore but if it was me I'll stick with my 19's... You can always have a Track setup on the side

I have used both the 18" and 19" R888's and there is no difference in the traction. The only thing that changes is the sidewall height and that won't affect traction.

I am currently using 305/35/18's on a 10" wheel. That rim width is still within the manufacturers spec for the tire width. I have 565whp.

Just throw a wrench in lol
I am running 275/40/18 Khumo ECSTA MX's on a 9.5in wheel.
low boost (511-530rwhp) it'll hold second pretty well.
Hi boost (769rwhp), smokes tires in 3rd at 70mph.

don't know if many tires will hold 600+rwhp at lower speed very well, even the R888's

Its not worth it to me to run those tires. You stil cant hook from 1st, but can hook 2nd. At 6000whp I can hook 2nd gear with good camber and 295/35/19" KDW's....
