oh my check out their new dynographs....

This graph isn't very pretty as we couldn't stop the car from spinning it's wheels on the dyno. I suspect if it had better traction, the torque peak would be a little lower (~610ft-lbs?) but a lot smooter, and the power would be a bit higher and smoother as well.

The car repeated similar numbers across three runs.

well great chart if you are going for peak numbers, that is one wicked peak on torque and then just peters out into the 300's as expected from the tiny turbos, anyone can get peaks like that by adjusting your base boost but the real trick would have been if they had been able to keep the torque up there waste of money to have done the build and stay with the smaller turbos if they wanted big power

Garrett, in some circumstances, severely underrates their turbochargers. Look at all of the Evo guys making mid 6xxwhp with GT3582rs that are rated by Garrett for 600hp. One of the machinists here made 641 at 34psi with a 3582R. We've made (albeit with an HR) well over 500whp/Tq at 11psi with modified versions of the same turbochargers included in the JWT530BB. And at only 7psi, we made 448whp. I don't doubt GT25rs can make that kind of power. Especially if the turbine housings are ported. Coupled with the instant boost response and high torque output 25Rs produce, they make for one hell of a street car.

Edit 448 @ 7psi conservative timing. 474 must have been at 8 or so. I'll upload the other chart when I get a chance later. These are great turbos. Literally zero lag. Perfect for stock or built block HRs or DEs. The JWT530BB and 700BB, like mentioned in USN HM 350Z post, are purposefully very restrictive. Keeps boost creep to a minimum. Lol, work a little magic on the piping and turbine and they'll make A LOT more power.

Heres the graph:https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds...ids-graph.html

why wont you say what size turbo's you have in that kit? "Top Secret" is not an answer. They are obviously bigger than GT 25XXR's

by the way, can you possibly explain why his TQ and HP are crossing at 3900 RPM's?

No problem. Yep on a dyno Jet.

They are GT2554Rs with ported Turbine housings. Remember, this is an HR. DEs make 400whp with the standard 530BB it relatively easy. HRs breathe a lot more. Plus the JWT Kits, like I mentioned before, use a restrictive piping system on the DEs. Switch to dual intakes and I'm sure the 530BB will make much more power on the DEs. Turn it up to 18psi, and 500++ hp/tq is attainable.

Ideally, the 2854R would be best turbocharger for a zero lag type street kit. Used for turbo applications on Harley's and such. Its a 25R compressor mated to a 28R turbine wheel with a better turbine housing. But they are usually an impractical option because they are practically unattainable (or at least, were over the last year). TIAL's been waiting for them forever. I want to get my hands on some to test against the 2554Rs.

simple, cause the axis tq is being measured on has a higher number then the comparable hp axis

look at 5250, tq is just under 530 on the left axis and hp is just under 530 in the right axis.

ugly graphs none the less.
