Default Built Motor Question

I have bought a built motor from another member on this forum and was wondering if there is any way to confirm if any/all of the parts listed are installed in the motor short of a teardown. The seller is having a difficult time providing me with the actual build sheet. Also, the motor has Tomei cams, but I am not sure on the duration/degree, is there any way to check this? Thanks guys - any help is appreciated.

+1 on checking with the previous shop.

Who sold you the engine? Did they have good trader rating, a lot of posts?

16 i-trader rating, 185 posts

I want to be clear, I have no reason to not trust the seller, but I am just trying to verify my purchase.

Drop the oil pan, you will at least be able to see the rods and undersides of the pistons. It would be easy as pie to tell them from stock.

You could also remove the valve covers to check the topside stuff.

Seems like a lot of work if you dont have any reason to doubt whats in there, though.
