This is exactly what I though, then I spoke to a guy from Motordyne and he said the Dyno proves results using the MREV2 and a 5/16ths spacer with a Non-Revup. I said yeah but what about a MREV2 with a stock plenum. He insisted that there is proven gains. Since I am F/I, 1 to 2 horse is going to matter to me, if we were talking 10-20 then yes.

I used to have it and it was terrible. I had 2 people try and tune my car and they just couldnt get it to run perfect. I took it off and put the crawford plenum and my car was golden.

...odd I've had two different tuners tune my car multiple times with multiple changes throughout my car's life with the SSV with FI and had no problems with consistency...
It ran fine NA too

You guys really are a piece of work sometimes.
All the guys asked was "Has anyone here used a SSV with their TN or other Turbo Application." to provide some feedback. he didn't ask if you liked it or not. Sentry seem to be the only person with something useful to post on the matter.
While it's true that SSV may be an over priced P.O.S it's also true that it's less expensive than the Cosworth over priced P.O.S yet people still buy it.
The real question is; (Again)

"Will the SSV produce less desirable results compared to stock intake manifold (NO Spacer!) with TN or other Turbo Application?"

Just facts please.

I have the SSV on my NA Z and i love it. The sound is nice - I def gained some power up top which allows me to drive normal under about 4000 rpm and anything above it starts to scream. I have an 04 with 30K and i dyno'd 263 at a shop in NJ. No tune, stock cats, stock y pipe. Tanabe Super exhaust with just mufflers and mid pipe and a poopie charger. I can't imagine it being worse than stock or making less power than a stock manifold type setup with a little spacer.

It's funny, the T.N. kit and the SSV are both the "two ugly stepchildren of the forums"...I have both. I gained 2 hp but about 10 tq with the SSV. I love the way the SSV looks and I paid $200. I think I will switch to the Cosworth one day, It sounds to have good gains and is even sexier.
P.S. I have 436 RWHP with this set up on stock internals.

Nice numbers for sure man.. There's alot of SSV hate. You just have to research and decide for urself if the design does anything or have any benefit to the longevity of the VQ motor. Now if it actually does what it claims is another story. I guess time will tell. And yeah man the cos is the #1 manifold as far as looks.
