Default Throttle Body HELP!!!

Ok guys here is my problem. This is on a Fully Built FI engine. I have no movement in my throttle body. Now here are the details. I reset the ECU and did the Accel. Pedal Reset. And tested the throttle body. After shutting off the ignition between that 10 seconds the throttle body DOES move. Now when I turn the ignition to on NOT start. I am reading good voltage on my Haltech when I depress the accelerator pedal. However I start up the engine and it will idle fine but I have no throttle. I am reading MAF voltage on the haltech as well. And while the engine is running I am reading different voltage on the haltech depending on how much I depress the accel. pedal but the throttle body does not do anything. I have tried another throttle body, and another MAF and nothing seems to work. I have tried 2 ECU's and reset/recaliabrated it both times and nothing is working. I even disconnected the Haltech and just had the ECU plugged in and did all the reset/calibrations and nothing still. I have checked voltages to both the MAF and throttle body with Ignition in the "on" position and the voltages read fine going to the devices through the engine harness. I am throwing no codes except for a FTT (Fuel Tank Temperature) b/c I have the CJ motorsports Dual Fuel Pump and I do not have a resistor on there yet. If anyone could help me figure this out OMG I would appreaciate it sooooooo much! Anymore info can be gathered in asked for.

Thank you,
Chris

The OEM ecu controls the throttlebody, and two problem areas come to mind: code(s) putting the stock computer in limp mode, or a mechanical failure (throttle body dead or wiring is bad)

The thing is that the FTT codes do not cause fail safe mode (according to my FSM). How are you reading the codes (i.e. are you sure you are reading all of them?). Are you using Cipher? If the CEL light is on and you don't have Cipher (or a Consult II), then I am dubious that you have all the data required to diagnose the problem.

You can log or create a gauge for TPS on the Haltech - is that showing a change? Don't confuse the accelerator pedal position with the throttle position sensor (you can read both and see if there is a correlation).

I don't think it is mechanical failure, only because when I do the reset, the throttle body does move when I turn the Ignition off. However I could be wrong. I know when the computer goes into limp mode it disables the throttle body and puts it at 5 degrees open if I remember right so you could be right as it is going into limp mode.

I didn't know that you could create a TPS gauge the on Haltech thank you for your input. As for the CEL I just have a scan tool, I will be purchasing a chipper, tmr.

Oh by the way a code came out. P0605 ECU Rom Error. This will be the 2nd ECU and sometimes it reads it sometimes it doesn't. After I reset the ECU it will not read that code, but when I turn the car back on it reads it.

Do you have the ECU properly grounded? (Is it mounted in the stock location?)

This is the 2nd ECU to have failed? You have replaced your stock one already? If that is the case, something is causing it to fail. Double check the wiring harness, look for bent pins in the harness, etc. Any modifications to any of the stock wiring in the car?

ECU failure will cause the symptoms you describe and it is fail safe mode... (sorry)

P0605 - while I haven't seen that one before, that would explain it.

According to the FSM, it is caused by:
A) ECM calculation function is malfunctioning.
B) ECM EEP-ROM system is malfunctioning.
C) ECM self shut-off function is malfunctioning.

Only failure A suggests the problem you are having:
"ECM enters fail-safe mode when the malfunction A is detected:
ECM stops the electric throttle control actuator control, throttle valve is maintained at a fixed opening (approx. 5 degrees) by the return spring."

For diagnostics, it suggests first clearing the code and see if it comes back. Step 2 is replacing the ecu.

+1, especially if it is the 2nd time this has happened.

I just want to be sure what you are saying, because I am having very similar issues. When you turn the car on, it idles, but when you hit the throttle, you get NO response at all? Mine just started doing the same thing Saturday, and I am at a loss for words. Let me know what you were able to do to fix it. Thanks.

Well I discovered that my problem was my Haltech wiring harness is corroded, where it plugs into the factory harness. Not sure exactly how it happened, but I am still investigating it, and working with my tuner that installed it.
