Default Warm Start problems-Pls. help

Hi Guys,

Having some warm start problems, heres what happened-

Just got back from a trip and the car has not been started for 3 days.
Initial cold start up was as normal car fired up on first crank.
Warmed up the car for about ten minutues then turned it off, went in to grab some stuff and tried to start it again. Took me about 10 cranks to get it started and I was continously pumping the throttle thinking maybe the fuel lines needed to be primed or something as it has'nt been driven in 3 days.

This evening, same thing, car started up cold just fine first crank. After it warmed up and I killed the engine and tried to restart it would'nt fire up till after like 8-10 cranks with me pumping the throttle.

Some background of my car-

Car was FI @ 40k and now odometer is 50k about 9 months ago.
Installed a used PE TT kit(380cc injectors) with accompanying used E-manage Ultimate with custom tune running abt 9psi max.
Air Filters, Spark Plugs and Walboro fuel pump were new items.
Other mods as per my sig.
Most recent mod added that may affect start ups is the WOT box installed a month ago.
Prior to today, the car has never had any cold/warm start up issues whatsoever. Always fired up by the second crank at most.

Although the car is experiencing the warm start up problems, it still drives normal and I am having no issues with engine hesitation under boost.

Anybody got any idea what could be the problem? Thanks.

A little bit unusual with such small injectors, but very common overall, with things like the eManage and UTEC. Maybe your plugs are getting a little bit tired. But overall, I would consider this par for the course. If you switched to a Haltech or FCON, you would not have the startup issue, but I am not suggesting you charge EMS JUST for the startup issue. Might also consider an ECU reflash to scale the injectors via the stock ECU.

The problem, is that the stock ECU is still controlling the injectors during cranking, and there is no way to trim fuel at cranking with the eManage or UTEC.

Interesting point made on the spark plugs..was thinking it had more to do with something in the fuel system as I was aware that the stock ECU contols the start up and not the EMU but did not consider the injectors.

Will have them changed tomorrow and see how it goes.

As for ECU Flashing what could I use to do that and also run the EMU together..a cipher or something? Would the ECU have to be sent out or can I do it myself?

Thanks

We do reflashing in house. There are a couple of options and one of them doesn't require you to send us your ecu. Pm me your number or call the shop on Monday.
