I wonder if the guy in the Mustang had any idea what he was up against...

Chris...you look like you're getting very very comfortable with taking the Z down the track.

what a day!!!! I'm beat, but don't see myself sleeping much lol, adrenilan is pumping.

Today showed what a shop can do as a team. I want to just take a second to thank all the guys here at SP (Lar, Jerry, Vince, Tim, Zach) lot's of hard work and now we are seeing that come to fruition! Also thank you to all of you guys for the continued support and belief that we could do this. We have more on the horizon.

Coachk, I'm definitely getting a feel for the car and we are getting really consistent coming out of the hole. we had 3 1.4x 60ft ans some 1.5x 60fts.

Anyways, enough babbling, here is the video

That is incredible guys! I cant express how happy I am that you guys gave the Z a chance, I see 8's with the 6speed and that is a feat that very few manual trannys have accomplished! Keep up the good work!

Few questions, What axles are you on? Dss 5's?
Are the motor mounts stock?

BTW, Awsome work on Boyko's supra, when I seen it go 9.8(or 9.7?) on those 275 mickey street's I almost died! Very nice work!

We're running the DSS Pro Axles. I believe they are a bit different from the Level 5's. Frank at DSS said they would take over 1000hp

Stock motor mounts, but I think I'm going to prototype some poly ones. We did see that the intake actually tapped the hood from twisting LOL kinda cool.

Dan's car is a true street supra we built him. Pretty insane that it's running on those drag radials and clicking off 9's
Thanks again

Yes, we are using and LOVING the ProEFI. We are not ramping boost, with this tire there isn't too much of a need. Larry is doing a phenominal job setting the 2step/antilag to the right rpm. We also hooked up our own vehicle speed sensor to allow us to control when the 2step shuts off so we can get out of the hole and control it, so technically I guess we do have a bit of a limiter in the first 60ft, but after that it's all in it.

This is what a good tire will allow

Thanks for the offer Zthirty, I think you're going to have a hard time peeling this Z from larry and I now lol

If you run faster than 150mph, you need a chute per NHRA

Yup,
At the track they did the first 9.90 in the chute is a must....short shutdown (and was covered in leaves).

At this track the shutdown is longer and slightly uphill, so no need to pull chute (which is convenient, saves a lot of time after a run)

i think you're mistaken the rules are class specific, just going out and runnin what you brung has no rules

the track covered in leaves sounds proposterous i cant see a track doing that with such a liability out there, after watching the video i do see what you mean about how short the shutdown is though, i wouldnt want to be going faster than 8s with that HAHA
