have to make a decision on my CR built engine.
here is the deal, i am now putting together a shopping list for my engine build. i wanted to go with the stock CR for my setup "10.3:1" but forged pistons of course on a T-trim s/c application. but i just found out those forged pistons are a custom order from wiesco or any other vendor for that matter. they have 11.0:1 CR pistons that are a off the shelf set "no custom order needed". question is will the 11.0:1 CR be to high and will hurt me ultimately in power production or will it be a plus ! remember this is a s/c vortech T-trim application and the engine will be run on 100 octane only with possibly a water meth injection setup. i am thinking with the CR being so high alot of timming will have to be pulled in the higher rpm limits.
would some of the shops/builders chime in please!!!!! THANKS..........

I'm not sure I would go with 11 unless you run C16 gas or something extreme like that or possibly E85 if you were willing to go down that path.
There's no big deal with ordering custom pistons. It just costs a little extra. It took about a month for Arias to get to finishing mine.
IMO I'd maybe go with 10.5 at the highest if you're absolutely going to run 100% 100 octane race gas. Otherwise there is 109 octane gas too that's not lead based, but you really pay for it. I'd talk it over with your engine builder/tuner and see what he thinks.
