Default Supercharger for my 350Z?

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone knows of a supercharger being sold for the 350z? I looked up new ones and they all cost from $3800 and up. I'm not rich, so I'm not looking for the best ever supercharger, and I'm perfectly fine with a pre-owned one that's in good condition. I'm looking to hopefully spend around $2000. The only real requirement I have is that I don't want to have to do any additional mods to the car such as high performance pulley's or anything like that. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated I'm looking to use my x-mas money to purchase.

Use the search tool kiddo, there is plenty of info on this site.

With that said, you need to save more money.

Hmmm good luck.

Your ONLY shot is to scour the marketplace on here and Ebay for a used supercharger setup. Unfortunately even those are out of your budget from almost everything I've seen being sold. You also take the risk of a damaged unit or missing parts, however there are always superchargers being sold as a lot of the people buying them aren't happy with their power levels and switch to a turbo setup later on.

this is my one pet peave of mine is to try to budget in a FI system...what you REALLY need to consider is that there will be maintenance and problems may occur...both are not cheap...

plus with that much power you're going to need bigger wheels, better tires, a big brake system to stop the extra power, a ECU management system...

with this said your goal of $2k for a supercharger will most likely not happen BUT if you find all you need for the price and it's not broken then great for you

Ok, so it seems my expectation to get a small supercharger or turbo setup for around $2000 isn't going to work out, but could you guys give me some pointers on what price range I should be looking at? I don't want anything crazy, just some more high end power.

for your money get a NOS system...but for a good setup that won't technically break the bank look to spend at least $5 if done correctly...or give or take a few hundred at $4 for a used setup

As many people have said, you're going to need a LOT more money for supporting mods, if you want to do it right.

I bought my supercharger setup for about $3500, and I've got easily double that in the ecu, injectors, fuel pump, gauges, etc that support the supercharger.

Listen to the advice of those who have gone before you, you can't FI for cheap. Believe me, I've spent more in mods then I paid for my car new. Once you start you can't stop. I'd say spend your 2 g's on some NA mods like exhaust, spacer, hi flow cats exc. Then someday if you get a SC these mods will only help you. Good luck.

No way you'll do it for 2K ... just no way. If you want to do something, do it right the first time. Cheaping out will only cause you more headache and money in the end.

I'm just gonna say to be ready to have $10K set aside for the plan...and that's not building up the motor. You wanna build up the motor...add another $10K....and that's whether you turbo or SC...plus don't forget clutch/flywheel and axles....

It adds up quick and I haven't even pulled the trigger yet.

Rule of thumb with FI.....Take what you are initially thinking of spending and triple it lol If you have 2k to spend either save it and do research on here for a few months or buy all the supporting mods you are going to want like a, manifold spacer, exhaust, Utec, fuel pump, injectors, down pipes.......
