Default where are the markings to tell which revision of the 6MT tranny I have?

I keep reading about the different versions of our tranny, and would like to figure out which one is in my car. My 5th gear is starting to grind on upshifts.

can anyone tell me where the markings are that signify the version?

thanks.

Last time i was under my car there was a sticker on the passenger side of the transmission case. It had the transmission number on it but didnt look too secure.

Better find a mod friendly dealer tho!

Same here - the sticker didn't seem to be stuck on there too well. I'll add that it is towards the top of the case more, so you won't be able to see it unless you get your head up there a bit.

i'd post in the drivetraon section, but the posters with the most knowledge and expertise are always in the FI section..........plus, it is sort of a FI-related issue.

I would think the 2005 would have the cd009 transmission? How many miles does your car have?

The only sure way I know to check, without pulling the bell housing off, is to look for the sticker. What year is the production year of your car? You could probably back check your VIN number with Nissan, and see what comes up. If you have the old trans, the computer will indicate that you superceded to a new trans part number.
