Default haltech platinum tuning questions

After final tuning of my car with Halltech I encountered following issues. Apart from these car is working great under all circumstances and conditions. I really enjoy the time with Haltech. Before I used UTEC. THERE IS NO COMPARISON. GREAT WORK GUYS

Iddle problem
1) Stable iddle. I could not have a stable iddle of the car. My RPM was set to 900RPM by using Cipher. Not any change noticed. I have tried everything.
a) O2 Control engaged: The result was that the value was fluctuating and the RPM also, from 1000 to 550. The car staggered and died often
b) O2 Control disengaged: The O2 AF banks and the after market widebands were steady. The RPM fluctuated from 750 to 950. When the Intake air temp increased the fluctuation increased and car again died.
c) Now I use the copy through function for the timing cells around the iddle value and the car runs fine.

QUESTION. With the new firmware released, is there any improvement? Am I going to have a stable iddle, without using the copy through function? with the O2 control engaged?

Startup issue.
1) When I crank the engine in the morning for the first time, car doesnt start, though It cranks fine.
2) I repeat the same sequence and the car starts with following symptoms.
a) Engine cranks for 1 sec.
b) Engine momentarily staggers/ hesitate.
c) Then it cranks normally.
d) Finally engine starts

the setup used for start is
crank timing
8 degrees

crank injection time
0 390
-40 7.500 7.500
-18 6.667 6.667
0 6.000 6.000
20 5.600 5.600
40 5.200 5.200
60 4.006 3.983
70 3.410 3.375

the setup of the car is
APS TT/ RC injectors 650cc / AAM Return fuel system / Cosworth Plenum / JWT S2 cams

Finally, I have the following comment. It would be very helpfull if the stock timing value cell, and the stock cam value would be possible to be monitored, in order to actually see how stock motor values are differing from the halltech input. Ofcourse I do that by monitoring the OBD, but it is not the same.

I am glad you are enjoying it - we hear the same positive things from others switching from UTEC. Lets get your tuning bugs sorted and you will be set.

More information is needed to answer your questions though, beginning with what software and firmware you are using, A copy of your map would be helpful as well. Who tuned the car?

I can assure you that a solid stable idle is no problem with the Haltech, even more so than the comparable units on the market thanks to the copy-through timing at idle feature. That being said, it takes a good tune and is not something you can just bandaid with o2 correction.

Regarding starting, this too can be setup to start just like factory. Again this is just a matter of tuning. Send over your map and I'll see if anything stands out as a problem. Sometimes it requires being hands on. What temperature range is typical for you starting the car?

Send your serial number, map, and details on the car/conditions to my email and I'll try to help you out.

Are you trying to start it in cold weather? I had the EXACT same problem. It would crank, fire run for about a second then stumble and die..then id start it a second time and it would stumble for a second but then be fine. If its doing this in cold weather you need to increase "post start enrichment" in or around the temperature area that your having the problem. My car is strange..for example, my car needs only 8% at 80*+, 20% enrichment when its 50*..but under 40* the only way it will run and stay running is with the enrichment set at and around 50%...find out what temp your at in the morning when it happens and try doubling all the values and working your way down..it worked for me and now the car starts up everytime and stays running perfectly.
