I picked up a used CJM return system from a member here.
I'm running the APS Standard TT kit and its rated pressure is 4bar for their fuel system should I put the CJM to that pressure?before or after vacuum?
The APS Fuel system seem very similar if not same as the CJM installation instructions for the fuel pump basket. Would I be safe to say all I need to do is change the hose that goes to the connector on the bottom fuel pump and the fitting that goes on top?
Is there any difference between the 350Z and G35 systems? I have a G35 the seller did not say wether its 350z or G35
I went to the CJM website but no instructions on how to route the lines or the difference between the G35 and the 350Z system.
The only difference that comes to mind is the G35 being 3" longer than the 350Z. If I need a longer line so it can reach the top of the gas tank is it available from CJM or should I just make a 3" extension myself?
I also seen phunk say to set idle Psi @ 48psi idle before vacuum but the APS fuel system sets idle Psi @ 58(4bar) if im not mistaken.

I did PM Charles last night.
I'm not sure if I'm installing right away or
waiting until May after I do my state inspection.
Doing a 3 things at the same:
APS 3.5" downpipe
DW 600cc Injectors
CJM fuel return system
Last but not least Tune it
So I have time to get whatever pieces
I might need to make it work for the G35.
Makes no sense installing now in the NE since
I won't be able to test the difference between
my current setup and the new setup.
(All tracks are closed for winter)

Hi I got your PM last night sorry I didnt respond until now...
If you plan on not retuning yet, your best bet would be to set the regulator at the same pressure you currently run, and to not connect a vacuum line to it. In theory this should keep your tune the same, but you need a wideband to double check everything is ok.
The only significant difference between the APS and our return correction kit is the bulkhead fitting coming thru the top of the pump assembly. APS has a 5/16 nipple, ours has a male -4 fitting. You can use adapters and keep the APS setup with the -6 return line from our kit, or you can replace the APS parts in the pump with ours... I cannot promise but im pressure sure the hole you drill in the pump top is roughly the same size so I think you should be able to get it to seal no problem.
Since the G35 is longer, it needs longer lines. It can be done with the 350z lines (its too tight really), but when a customer orders the G35 specific setup new they will get a 10" extension for the return line with the stage 1 kit. Stage 2 kits also come with a longer feed hose for G35.
I have no real directions for setting fuel pressure if the car currently has a tune for its setup that you are trying to match. If you are starting from scratch tho I would typically set the base pressure around 48, but that can change if you need to do something with too small or too large of injectors.

all we have is at: http://cj-motorsports.com/s1install.htm
its unfinished for years though... in the hundreds of kits sold, I actually dont have any clear photos displaying how to route the hoses! if anyone wants to donate, i was thinking of working on the website this weekend and wouldnt mind finishing up that page! amazingly, we hardly ever get asked for that, im not sure how everyone figures out how to run the hoses LOL.

Thanks phunk for the information I will order the additional parts through you once its available.
I will also most likely order the Stage 2 also so I can keep the OEM lines untouched
Definitely starting from scratch since I will be going 440cc to 600c injectors also.
Down_Shift I usually follow my progress with pictures and this will be no different
but I doubt it will be in the time frame your looking at.

I think I may have the 350z length hoses on my G. It works, but it is pretty tight. I didn't have alot of room for play. I am just guessing though. It may have been the way I routed the hoses that limited my "play" in the lines.

I rather err on the side of caution and have extra parts than be short of parts and have the install delayed.
Charles,
I finally took a picture of my return line. as you can see, the feed line has plenty of space, but the return is tight! i had to snake it between the DP and the dump pipe.

Definatly need to find some slack or add an extension under the regulator to get the return with the feed... I do not likewhat I see there!!
Do you have our G extension on there?

I have whatever you sent me. It was supposed to be a "G Sedan" fuel return setup. I've had it installed for over 2 years! I never thought much of it when I installed the return setup; at the time, I had a turbonetics ST kit. When I installed the greddy kit, I notice how close things were. then, when I added the SVRT dumps tubes, it got worse. Now, with the 3" Downpipes, things are getting TIGHT!!!!!!

Started installing the CJM system today.
The only thing left is to cut the hard line and attached the hose to the hard line.
2 questions.
Where do you get heat wrap for hose?
Is it ok to leave the oem fuel regulator(Tie wrapped) if its impossible to
detach it from the hardline that runs by the headers?

you can get all sorts of heat wrap at summitracing.com
as for the stock regulator... that is inside the gas tank and removed and replaced with the return correction kit. you might be speaking of one of the pressure dampers in the engine bay.... all of that stuff is removed and unused with the system. i mean, if you need to leave it in there you can, but im not sure what would make it impossible to remove... especially after you cut the hardline
