My ATI Procharger is installed
Yippee!!!!!!
finished up realllllly early this morning.......my install was done by Dave Sellers at Black Magic Racing....his number is 925-518-3283 if there's anybody else in NorCal that needs their Procharger installed i would HIGHLY recommend him......he did an excellent job on my install..........he's been working on race cars for a long time......and now on my car.
So my car is HELLA fast now.......the procharger is a tight fit........definitely not an 8-10 hour job like the manual says.......the manual could be better........BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!
I don't have any belt squeel........not at start up, or otherwise........this thing sounds like a jet, and i LOVE it!!!!.......acceleration sounds like a jet taking off.......deceleration sounds like a jet landing.......it's beautiful
Here's some pics:

From the look of your bumper, your car is so fast now that the bugs don't even have time to get out of the way
Looks sweet man, can't wait until I get mine.
I wonder how I can slip $5K out of the savings account without the wife noticing.....

EJug! Glad to have you on board! Where did you get that Supercharged emblem? I may want to look into one if you don't mind. Do they come in different colors?
Did you dyno? What HP/torque did you get?

No dyno yet......Sept 9 is my tuning date.......but when i know, i'll post
I think I might just steal your idea too. The sticker I have just doesn't do it for me. Oh and you haven't got it tuned yet? Oh man, you're going to really see some rubber burning when that's done, at least it was that way for me.
Your install looks great. I wonder why you have no start up noise like others? Maybe installtion? Pls keep postying more as you experience more with your car. Many of us are strongly considering this SC and hearing both positive and negatives help us see an accurate picture of what this product is about.

The belt tension has to be perfect to avoid the squeal. You might have to set the tension again e_j. I've done mine three times now, but it seems to have settled down now so hopefully it won't need to be set again very soon.
I am a true under the hood NEWB. Could one of you guys who did your own install (or anyone else who knows how) please post a Do It Yourself Pic of how you go about tensioning your belts? I would love to do my own buy I don't want to screw anything up. How hard is it and how do you do it?
I would really appreciate your help on this!
I would really appreciate your help on this!
I don't have any pics to post, but tensioning the belts is easy.
Just loosen the bolt in the center of the idler pulleys (14mm wrench), then find the bolt with the head facing the ground (12 mm wrench) and turn clockwise until the belt has proper tension. Acording to the ATI manual, they like the serpentine belt to have .4" of deflection under finger pressure. I think that's too loose, especially for a new belt, and went with more like .1" The belt will stretch quite a bit after start up. The serpentine belt idler is on the passenger side of the block, the A/C idler is on the drivers side. Make sure you tighten the idlers after tensioning the belts.
THANK YOU EJ for letting me install your blower!! Even though I invented a few new swear words during the install, I am looking forward to doing some more!! Who's next?
BTW, if anybody doing their own install has questions, feel free to call or PM me. Maybe I'll be able to help.
