Hey Everyone,

I need some suggestions, as well as the help from the vendors on this forum. Most of you are familiar with my "Forced Induction for Noobs..." thread that I created for the F/I section. I have been getting a lot of requests for a similar thread but for engine management systems. I have been putting it off for awhile, but the time as come. I am pretty familar with the engine managements that are available for the VQ35DE and HR, but no body is perfect, and I don't know everything.

I am going to start PMing vendors on here to request information, but any information you guys can provide would be great. Pros and Cons, Installation tips, Suggestions, and warnings...

I am going to have this done by the end of the year, so that give me roughly 2 1/2 weeks to do this (I love paid vacation!!).

It will be Dave Shiroma's info (Function:Tuned)....but Im sure he won't mind. I was the just the guinea pig who asked a million questions, picked his brain, and helped solve an issue here and there.

I heard dave talking about Autronic...interested in the results of that EMS. I am leaning towards a Haltec in another year

 

now the trick is getting them to read it

+1000 on that. A chart that compares options/features would be very helpful.

Waiting for the Autronic thread as well

Had another thought as well - A listing of what shops tune what. It seems that there are several people that may choose their EMS by what their tuner uses and vice versa. Example - If I wanted Cobb and I'm here in PA and Forged is the closest tuner, I may need to re-evaluate my choice of EMS.

 

I did have a chart in mind... I think if I can design an excel spreadsheet, and convert it to a .gif or a .jpg file, I can up-load it to the thread...

I will compile a list of authorized tuners for each unit, and seperate them by region (i.e. West Coast, Mid-West, East Coast, South East, etc.)
