Default Stillen SC Owners - I need some help - I lost a part

Hey everyone. I've still got that stillen SC on my car and well, I was adjusting the belts because one of them was squealing. I guess I didn't tighten down fully the main belt tensioner on the 6 rib belt on the front of the engine. This is the pulley from that came with the SC from Stillen. I heard a clank and pulled over. I was able to retrieve the bolt and the tensioner pulley, but I was not able to find the nut and sleeve. The sleeve goes over the bolt and positions the pulley in the correct spot. Well, stillen says that they don't sell just that sleeve or nut but instead the whole kit. they want $100 for it! I've got the pulley which is where the cost is, but I have a hard time forking out $100 for something so small. Stillen says that this pulley has been retrofited from some 80's or 90's maxima.

Can anyone help me locate this sleeve and nut?

I went to Napa with no help from them whatsoever. And Nissan isn't willing to help unless there is a Vin # attached so that they can locate the part. So those ideas are out the window.

I'm hoping that someone has had this problem and either has a solution or has a spare.

Let me know.

Thanks, Jon

Its sucks, but sometimes you have to pay for your silly mistakes! live and learn.
Cant you just get some pipe/round stock and cut it off the length you need it? and then find a nut you need at lowes?

Just buy the part from Stillen and try to sell your pulley. It sucks when stuff like that happens but its better than rigging it and making things worse.

Geez guys. With the way the economy is, you'd think that Stillen would just sell this part. Seriously, this sleeve would have to wear out eventually right? LOL

I know Lowes has some steel spacers. I'll check with them tomorrow on my way home from work to see if there is any that would work. Can't hurt.

I assume you are talking about this reverse-threaded nut???

Well, that is not something Stillen makes. It is a universal tensioner. You should be able to find it at any Belt & Bearing Shop or specialty bolt/washer/fastener store. Not Home Depot or Lowes. A real hardware store. If not, they can assemble a reverse-threaded nut along with a sleeve and flat washer that will accomplish the same thing.

Hope that helps...

NOPE! j/k. Not it. Its the main tensioner pulley on the front of the engine. The sleeve inside of the pulley itself. You know, the bolt, sleeve and nut that actually hold the pulley on. I've still got what you have in this picture. Didn't lose that part. Its actually the sleeve inside the pulley.
