Default Block Gaurds?

Has anyone else came across these block gaurds for built and boosted vq35 motors? I remember Jeremy at PF talking to be about possible block gaurds being manufactured but it never happened. Then I ran across these on EBAY.

stay far far away from the block guards! they cause pressure points on the sleeve since they dont fit perfect and there is always casting shift on the outside of the sleeve since its not a machined surface. you would have to rehone to make sure the cylinder didnt distort when you hammered the guard in, plus even then when the sleeve is up to temp and it expands the BG would still cause pressure points that could promote cracking, and/or distort the sleeve and cause sealing/piston damage.

Long story short, stay away, our sleeves are pretty strong considering they are open deck, plus the guard could cause cooling issues. The honda community has shunned those things years ago. nothing but trouble! I have personally seen cracked honda sleeves due to the BG.

my 2 yen.
