I have run either M1 15w50 or Lucas 20w50 on my built motor so far. Now that it is winter I was going to change to a 10w40 for the next couple months. It gets down to the low 30's here in Phoenix. Do you guys think that I am ok with a 15w50 in that weather or should I go down to a 10wXX weight?

 

I used Rotella and still didn't notice any 'less' burn. 10-40. I will start doing more accurate measures. next time. I also used mobile 1.

guys what oil would be recommend to use on my car , i used to use 10/30 mobile 1 and it burn oil every 4 days or so have to add oil to it ... so do you guys think if i moved with thicker oil would make the engine consume less oil ??

 

Try 10/40 or 15/50.. Im pretty sure it wont be the same... It wasnt for me..

I was using 0w40 burning off, switched and no longer burn off at all...
