Sounds like its in limp mode.. Maybe you blew the engine with the TN.. Have you tried to reset the ecu or read any codes?

All you have to do is detach the battery for a few hours.. It will reset... Or do this.... http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm

To read codes you need something like this... http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0070921x00003a

I think chopperman means to say DETONATION.. http://www.cartuningcentral.com/what-is-detonation

Not detention.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detention

Jay thanks for the spelling check. OP yes I ment detonation. If you do not want to get a code reader go to autozone/pepboys and they will read the code for free.

Follow the instructions in the Technosquare link Jay-Z sent you to do a TPS relearn. The strange thing is that your problem seems intermittent, usually once you are in limp mode it stays that way until you fix the problem.

Did you just install your kit or has it been running trouble free for some time?

The codes may be important here, you may need to buy/borrow a code reader to better diagnose the issues.

Jay-Z types faster than me.

How about getting a scanning device and checking the codes?
Since it sounds like you having to troubleshoot on your own, then something like the Cipher tool would be invaluable to you. It can help you quickly figure out the problem: http://www.forgedperformance.com/store/home.php?cat=447

^+1 Cipher is invaluable for diagnostics on a FI car.

Vacuum leak or bad (dirty) MAF are the 2 things I would check straight off. Cipher can tell you exactly what the MAF is reading.

Yup pull codes like mentioned and then start simple.

Check plugs first (had similar symptoms on a Z31 turbo with burnt up plugs), then check all piping from turbo to TB, and all vacuum lines.

It sounds like your MAF is disconnected or installed backwards or there is an intake leak. You'll need to check that and then reset/clear codes to get outta limp mode.

+1 on the Cipher!
