I currently bought a vortec sc kit. The kit is complete except for the fuel pump and fmu. I plan on using a drop in 255lph walro instead of the in line pump....1 question..i own a 03 g35, do i have to drop the tank or can I just remove the back set to get to the fuel pump? The fmu that comes with this kit...what is the ratio 12 to 1, 10 to 1, 6 to 1....? Thanks for the help.

 

You can access the pump from in the car, no need to drop the tank.

The 12:1 ratio, means it will raise the fuel pressure 12psi for every 1psi of boost.

 

you get at it from inside. Pull the top of the rear seat off and the fuel pump is on the passenger side. (there are access panels)

as for the fmu, are you asking what Air/fuel ratio it is programmed for?
I'm not sure what that one is, Ideally you want somewhere in the 11:1 range for safety...maybe even close to 10:1 near readline. Just all depends how safe you are going. (I know 10:1 is pretty rich but you can go rich 1000 times, you can go lean 1 time)

So at 10 psi of boost the fuel pressure is 120psi over the stock fuel pressure??
