Default 350z over 100k...supercharged ok or not??

just bought a 2003 350z. the car has 100,000 miles on it. It is in very good condition and all maintenance where done at a nissan dealership. so the question is....
is it ok to add a supercharger or a turbo to this car??? Im looking for some extra power, but Im worried with a forced induction the engine can break!! any sugestions??? experiences??

interesting. I have 80,000 on mine. About 50,000 of that has been supercharged.

Maybe I should pull the SC off at 100k just in-case.

A engine is a engine. Like people said some can break with low mileage. Going FI at any mileage is a risk. its up to you if you want to do it or not. You could always just build the engine. But if you do go F/I make sure you keep a little extra cash in case random stuff breaks with the increased power

what i meant was that an engine with 40k is the same as an engine with 100k. F/I can blow an engine regardless. ya it has more miles but that dose not mean its going to break before the 40k

I say put a turbo on it and if it breaks you have a good excuse to build the engine and go for more power.

build it before the turbo. the odds of you running it without blowing it are better that way.

I paid just a little under $10,000 dollars...

I have a friend that has a VORTECH supercharger with probably 12,000 miles on it...Im thinking about making him an offer.

We have a winner!!! Do a leakdown and compression test and if both come out OK then you should have no greater risk than any other F/I car IMO.
