Real simple. Of those of you running single turbos, do you have any exhaust specific sound clips? I've been searching video clips on you tube but can't find any that call for what specific exhaust they're running. I'm trying to link specific exhausts to base my final decision on. The exhaust note is top on my list of things I want to get right seeing how the sound is something I'll have to live with whether boosting or cruising. Found a few single exhausts which are growing on me but not quite sold 100% (the whole angle look), even then most video clips do not list their exhaust. As of now I'm waiting to order the Bassani or APS single exhaust, granted I'll have to mod the bassani.

they do but it's dual exit, so not really.

 

even though its restrictive on a turbo set up, i wonder what a single (or twin) turbo combined with a Nismo or stock exhaust sounds like. Only wondering because the stock note is the best imo.

 

well if thats what you are going with... if the borla twin outflows a the nismo(can anybody verify this?), then maybe u can do that and run a reverse "y"pipe. Not many choices if you are looking for a stock sound...

just get open dumps, that way you wont hear the exhaust most of the time (if you drive like i do )

Your options really are limitless. You can get any of the true dual exhausts out there too if you're willing to get a reverse Y-pipe fabbed to fit.

Of the single exhausts available, I agree with SlideFox. I've heard Joey's (foreignsoda) G with the JIC Single DE Type 1 Full-Ti and it sounds badass. Although it is loud.

I'm gonna be running a full custom fabbed exhaust with my PowerLab setup involving a reverse Y to dual 3" exhausts. I hope to have it completed and have sound clips up soon.

 

I have a Borla with a reverse Y for sale.. That I used on my TN kit. Now I'm using a custom 3'' single with a magnaflow resonator and a vibrant can. It sounds great could not be happier with it.

 

Well, I've yet to see a powerlab kit run open dump tube but it'd be something to think about.

I've decided on going with the mild Fujitsubo exhaust for it's 3" tubing and stockish looking setup. Came across a red Z that was setup pretty nice with t-netics kit and sold me on it. Really quite but I love to get on it and don't want the cops to hear me before I'm coming. Took forever to find a clip for a F/I Z runing that exhaust.

 

I'll be running an open wastegate dump.

The Fujitsubo is not a bad choice for your stated preferences. It will definitely flow better than stock without being obnoxiously loud.

 

Should have said you wanted to hear a Fuji. I just sold mine today, but I knew where to find clips. I think there was one on here from Taurran from a while back IIRC. BTW, I loved the Fuji, its quiet but flows really well and is very light.

actually their not that loud once the cars warms up. honestly i thought it would be WAY louder considerering the pipe diamater, no cats, and minimal bends and resonators.
