I usually use 10w30 royal purple but i was thinking of switching to something lighter for the winter months. Yes/no?

 

I run Motul 5w30 year round in Delaware .. but my care rarely sees any miles in winter. I don't see you having a problem with 10w30 even in upstate NY as long as you allow the car to properly warm up before hammering on it.
