Default Turbonetics-stock block-Haltech-Dyno sheet

I got the Z tuned by Hal at Injected Performance last Saturday. Just figured I would share the results. First off, Hal did a great job on the tune. He knows his **** that's for sure. The car feels like there is a entirely different engine under the hood. The best mod I have done yet is this Haltech.
Haltech, Dual Haltech widebands, haltech Boost controller.
10 psi 93 octane with no meth...

No, before it was tuned by Auto Motion with a Utec and water/meth. Mustang dyno got 350whp at 7.5psi.

I think it hit 350whp on the DD on just 7.5psi. On the first pull.

This Dyno sheet I dug up was done by another tuner and was tuned with a Utec tuned 7.5psi water/meth added really advanced timing. I had to back it down some after the tune because it was to high.

Are you going to start using the meth again with the Haltech?

Just out of curiousity, how is the drivability? I have the APS ST with a Utec and its been working very well. Made 370hp 380ftlbs at 6psi on a DD... Im almost finished with my external gate setup and was lookin into retune, but the local guy told me he wont touch a Utec, only deals with stand alones and that he could set me up with a Haltech... I was just wondering if it was worth it, and was the drivability all that improved? Only complaint I have about the Utec is that its jumpy off throttle...

^^ The acceleration is so much smoother then before. The car just feels totally different like it was factory boosted in away. One great thing that I love about the Haltech is that it logs all the time of course you set the amount of boost you want it to start to log. The utec I always had my big azz labtop in the passenger seat while logging. With the Haltech you just go out, plug it up to your labtop after your drive or drag. Save your logs and then look at them at your convenience.

I plan on a build this Fall and getting rid of the single and going with twins. I know now I have the best EMS for the job. And a great shop just a hour away.

By the way this Z has Had 75 shot Nitrous 1 bottle, Procharged 8psi, and single turbo 8psi and now 10psi. And I still want more. So to all new to the Z world that read this, make and know your goals and stick to them. Or it gets $$$$$ in the end.

The snow kit is a progressive sprayer it works independtly on its own.I dont think the haltech can control it. We did use water/meth after tune, afr realy changed so he took out some fuel addded 1 degree of timing.Still could not get past 385 on the DD.From my experience with water/meth, it just lowers air intake temps on turbo'd cars. I got whp gains with a supercharger.

So no gain from the injection, do you think it can be due to the mixture being used? Perhaps more meth than water would be better?

Mix is good. We could have advanced the timing to get some more hp out of it. But I think we hit the threshold on the TN kit and my stock block. So if I don't need it. I'm not going to use it. Even at 11psi still could not breach 385whp on the DD.So backed it down to 10psi.

Frank, it was great meeting you and thanks for coming down. Now that you have tried every form of boost, I think it's time for twins and a built motor..?

If you need anything let us know.

even on 10lbs, this setup is nt making the power it should. what size injectors? upgrade to rc 440's, and you wont max them out (assuming your on the denso 380's)

is your wastegate dumped to atmosphere?

Frankie, what are your power goals? I was looking into the Turbonetics single T, but swapping out the turbo for a T-67 or something of relative size. The reason i ask is because there is a local guy here in dallas that has Turbonetics single T, but upgraded turbo and at 8psi he is 463 (Stock block, amazingly).

I would like 550whp, going to build the block this fall while the motor is out puting twins on. I have cheched on upgrading to a larger turbo but I dont think I would be satisfied.
