We had our motor built and new turbo kit installed this past winter. The shop that did the install/build is no more........going out of business while "working on" my car! There were constant problems and it was a total hassle start to finish. Finally got the car runnin good but we started taking it apart for a repaint and the shoddy work we uncovered while prepping the vehicle, makes me sick!! Hoses were hanging , wires left hanging and being rubbed by tires. under panels missing ,inter-cooler had no bolts on the bottom brackets, parts left in the fender wells, and the power steering cooler left hanging in the breeze!! I do not know know how any good, respectable mechanic could send this car out like this. There are alot of good shops out there Forged, GTM,VTR, and Functioned, which are all places that take pride in their work, especially when you are spending the money it takes to build these cars!! So, BE CAREFUL who you choose and do your research, cause research is free......can't say the same for our cars.

 

I think everyone knows the mystery shop is Performance Factory, you can't really hide it.

My experience with the shop that was MRC is also a horror story, but that is for another day.

i would imagine it wasnt the current AAM employee that was responsible for that. like they say, good help is hard to find

Wasnt this project the last project that the shop did? Also arent you the one that came on here and bashed the shop and rushed them to finish the job? Even though it may have taken a little bit more time then you expected, you cant rush things if you want them to be done right.

 

every shop has F*** ups in their installs. I have seen stuff from 2 of the shops listed as the OPs recommended places to go that have had stupid issues....oversights, goofs, what ever you want to call them. It happens at EVERY shop!!!! Guaranteed! Hopefully, it is a rare occurance, but mistakes happen. Every shop owner will admit to it.
