Default Dropped my motor off at SP!

Well as many of you know I have a v-mount supercharged 350z and I am currently in the process of building the motor:

I recently made the choice that Sound Performance was going to be the shop to do the machine work on the motor. So today I made the trip down from Milwaukee to drop the motor off. The first thing I see when I pull in is the bada$$ Z that many have come to know on the forums:

I proceeded to have the pleasure of meeting Chris and some of the crew from Sound Performance. I also had the suprise pleasure of meeting Vlad who's G35 sedan is well on it's way to being a MONSTER!

I have to say that Chris is a stand-up guy. Not only was he willing to stay late in order to accomodate my schedule for dropping my motor off, but he actually took quite a bit of time to talk with me and show me aorund. I got a to take a good look at the SP 350Z and Chris even started it up for me. I spend quite a bit of time around race cars but this car just made me smile !

Can you say CLEAN??

Overall, SP gets a big so far! I will make sure to post updates as thing progress.

Quick Build List:
-Z33Art V-Mount Supercharger Kit
-Vortech Supercharger w/ 928 Motorsports Impeller
-Eagle Rods
-ARP head and main studs
-Cosworth rod/main/thrust bearings
-HKS headgasket
-Arias .020 OB 8.8CR pistons
-Z33Art Solid Motor Mounts
-Modified Stock Plenum
-Strup Exhaust Manifolds
-Strup Test Pipes
-Turbo XS Exhaust
-Turbo XS UTEC (looking to switch)
-CJM Fuel Rails

I am currently in the process of making some changes to my supercharger kit that would allow me to put twin superchargers on my car and plow right into the 600whp range with ease. Should be taking measurements this weekend of the timing cover and making some solid models of everything.

your v mount setup doesn't look right to me. I don't understand what it accomplishes.

Something different mainly. However, I do have larger piping, less bends in the piping and an 8-rib drive belt that is dedicated soley to driving the supercharger in comparison to the stock Vortech kit. Overall, I would have done it differently had I known then what I know now, hence why I am changing it.

I agree that I am in safe hands. After getting there and seeing the place I was confident that I made the right choice and that my money would be well spent.

They don't. However, both SP and AMS use the same machine shop so that gives me peace of mind.

I will still have only one SC initially but the bracket and placement will be deisgned for two... hopefully by the end of summer ! Imagine the stock Vortech SC placement... but with another one on the passenger side...!!

why not do a turbo and sc setup. A small turbo to spool up faster and the sc blower to give it the extra kick on the top.

Congrats Ryan. I'll admit I'm a little jealous right now. I can't wait to see that motor all done.
