Default Gapping Denso Iridium IKH20 for STS kit...

In the STS turbo kit manual, it states to gap the colder plugs that came with the kit to .028". I purchased a set of Denso Iridium IKH20 (1 step colder) and I believe they come pregapped at 0.032". I have read that you should not gap iridiums since they can be damaged. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks

You don't have to gap it for stock boost. I have been running stock NGK Iridium gap for 2 years.

I don't plan to push it past 390hp/tq, so the 0.032" gap will be fine...is that what you're running Athen? Why does sts recommend the 0.028" gap? What would the differences be between running one size to the other? ...Just trying to get a better understanding of things. Thanks for the help

I've been running the NGK iridium stock gap for the past year with no problems as well, and I'm boosting at 11 psi with my vortech.
