FunctionTuned
I have been going to Dave for all my tuning and whatnot ever since I went FI 2+ years ago. I would like to share my experience I have had in the past month with FunctionTuned.
About a month ago I decided to install my HKS EVC, SS braded brake lines w/ Motul 600 fluid, stage 0.5 RFS, and UPREV. I have done most of the installs of everything on my car so far and thought I would continue to do so.
This past weekend I decided to wire the EVC (big mistake as I’m not great w/ electrical stuff). When I was stripping one of the wires from the ECU harness I pulled it out from the terminal/harness. I stopped by FT to get some advice on putting the wire back in the terminal. Dave stopped what he was working on, explained everything to me and even gave me an extra terminal.
I start my car up and I immediately knew I had done something wrong. My car now sounded like a boxer engine, F***!! I limp my car to FT (about 4-5 miles from my house) and tell Dave “I broke my car”. Dave again stops what he is doing and begins to diagnose the problem. Within about 30 mins Dave had diagnosed and fixed the problem and I was back on the road. When I initially started my car I had not put the pin all the way into the harness. The pin on the ECU did not come in contact w/ wire I had pulled and fried one of my coils.

F:T - FTW!!!
Ask many in the Mid-A and your story repeats itself over and over. Dave takes care of customers....period. Throughout my build and subsequent fail, Dave has been there to offer help and advice when I needed it.
