The same thing happen to me only it wasn't the rubber hose; it was one of the thin aluminum lines that run from the radiator area. In my case the oil feed line was resting against the aluminum line and the heat from the oil feed line melted the aluminum. I had to cut it and use a brass union coupler. I then rerouted the oil line and wrapped it with a rubber hose in certain areas. Good luck with your repairs.

That sounds not good. I haven't time to look at it yet but i don't think mine is that bad.

Is this the line below the Vortech unit that sits close to everything? When I installed my popcharger, I didn't like how it could rub in some places, so I wrapped the line and tightened on those hose clamps on the points that would contact metal. Not FI yet, but this is what I used.

ya take a pic to show which ac line you are talking about. i dont have any ac lines near anything that rubs. heat alone would not cause an AC line to leak, only rubbing.

Sorry to hear about the AC. I think I would die without it. My Thermostat was reading 109* yesterday.

Check just to the right of the blower. There is a hard aluminum line there that might have been rubbed. It's a tight fit.

Are they charging you to take the blower out? It's pretty easy to remove. You can remove the blower through the wheel well w/o dismounting the plate.. I've done it a couple times.

Heat toasted my ac line but turbo not SC even double heat wraped it.
I think his problem is a rubbing issue. Need the green dye to see exactly where its coming from.
