Default very happy...

I figured I would post this here since noone cares in any other forum..lol
It just impressed me that the motor did great at an average of 5000RPM for a total of 118 miles..thats at 140mph...
story below..

Well I was glad to see 3 other Nissan's showed this year..another '04 350 and two '09 GT-R's..along with two new ZR1's and the regular gallardo etc etc..

I had a blast and ran the southbound leg at an average speed of 125.89 MPH, top speed being my tech of 140 mph...I don't like the way the car handles at 140 and will DEFINITELY be in the market for a front lip/splitter and a spoiler/ wing for the rear. It feels REAL light at 140!

I do absolutely LOVE the bfg kdw's I bought and put on the car..they stick like glue and am very happy. I wanted the r888's but they don't make them in my size..bummer.

So long story short...I placed this year! and brought home a third place trophy! After driving the south leg I was 28 seconds fast..I recalculated that with the 28.32 it takes to drive 59 miles at 125mph. and set up for the northbound run...I crossed the finish @ 138mph and hit the stop button...I couldn't believe after looking at the timer it read 00.00!!!!!
Final time was +1.3 SECONDS!!!! unbelievable...and what's crazy is that was 3rd place in that class! 1st was .372- 2nd was .723+ and I was 1.3 sec.

It was a blast, I actually caught and passed the car in front of me at nearly 140 in the straight and have awesome video of it..there were two cameras on my car this year and after its all edited I'll post it..

Sounds like a lot of fun. Congrats on placing! That's very impressive.

Now, are you talking about the Silverstate Classic? You didn't really give any background on what you are talking about.

Cool. Sounds similar to the Nevada Silverstate Classic. You pick a speed class, which has a target speed, minimum speed, and maximum speed. The closest to the target speed as an average wins. It is crazy how close many of the drivers get to their target speed.

Grats!

Thanks man...my target was 125..tech speed was 140. I used a $9.99 digital kitchen timer!LOL no kidding and did an average of 125.898 on the southbound leg and did 124.02 on the northbound leg..pure dumb luck I think! scared crapless no doubt..my forearm muscles were killing me from the deathgrip on the wheel! car is so light at that speed..really had to drive the crap out of it!
Funny thing was I was using a tomtom simply to show me the road ahead and what the curves looked like so I would be set up for that curve..speed, my line, etc...well that damn thing came off the windshield about 6 miles from the finish line and in the worst of the curves...I remember thinking I'll be damned if I take a hand off the wheel to put it back up....then it dawned on me that even if I wanted to I couldn't..I was strapped in, in a 6 point harness...LOL I laughed out loud at myself..

Even with aero mods, 140 is nothing to sneeze at. The slightest miscalculation, or inattention can be disastrous. Props to you for pushing yourself and for doing so well.

Thanks all...good friend of mine and partial sponsor bought a set of cameras from datatoys and one was mounted behind the rearview mirror and the other down by the intercooler...well from what I understand HD DVD video records at 5mbps..these cameras were recording at 6.5 mbps...so its a hellava lot of video to render..Im anxious as well to see it and hopefully it will be soon! I actually caught up to and passed the car infront of me! and we started 30 seconds apart...but there is killer video of him finally seeing me, sliding right and I matted it and went around @ 140! it was awesome..so please stay tuned for video!

As far as tires I just mounted BFG KDW's and LOVE them..they are super sticky! I wanted the toyo r888's but unfortunately they don't make them in my size..tires are 255/35/ZR19's in front and 275/35/ZR19's in the rear.

Ever think about a TS front diffuser? It should increase downforce, stop your bumper from flexing, and look cool

you are correct...seriously though I can get the replica with canards PAINTED to match for about the same price. So I guess it comes down to what are they made of and what is fitment..
