Default Almost lost it today......

I guess sometimes we get used to our cars and almost feel like they are boring and even underestimate them. Today while shifting fast into 3rd while in a bad situation with cars on my left and a wall to my right my back end decided to wiggle like a worm. My car has never done this as violent as it did today in 3rd gear but I had a wake up call as to what even 400+whp can do. I guess this is the first time my car has ever scarred the $hit out of me but I now have a new respect for my power.

Dont be scared!! haha

You always have to drive the car, never let the car drive you.

I remember one night coming home with my girl about a year ago in my Nissan Titan and we were going about 85 or 90 in the rain down this 4 lane road with no traffic. I floored it just playing around and the Titan got crazy sideways going that fast, definitely a wake up call for playing in the rain.

*** YEAH JEREMY. Drifting at 90mph.

As for me, the worst situation in my z was probably losing control while doing 70+ touge racing. I was going around this corner and it was sharp so i hit the brakes, my rear end started to kick out and my heart rate shot out the roof cuz the road was tight and no room for drifting or sliding.

I get the same way....just blast through 2-3 and into 4th gear. Fly through 100mph like its nothing, no effort needed.

I don't really realize how fast these things are till I get into something else........then i step back and realize what we have.

For sure man, just as long as your goals are a little lower than mine .

My main goal was to break 600whp on the DD Dyno at F:T on 93 octane and meth. If all the stars align I may be tuning just before ZdayZ.

I havent had a situation that surprised me in a while, but they have happened.

Its happened to me shifting very fast into 4th, inducing a little sideways action is always fun. Before driving quick I mentally prepare myself to correct steering quick, and be smooth with clutch/throttle....

Be safe!

VDC has saved me on more than a few occasions, although it sent my friend off into a ditch once.

However, I learned my lesson to keep VDC on in the rain no matter what. I made a simple left turn at a light and decided to try and kick the rear end out just a tad. It whipped out though, and on correction I came inches from tail whipping traffic coming the other way.

all VQ's running Vortechs should be using 2.87 pulleys. that is when the car gets to be really fun. didnt i tell you the first time i actually got scared driving my Z was with the 2.87?

In a previous ride I had I ended up going backwards at 70mph on a grass median highway (hwy 55 in IL) when I started fishtailing in the rain after hitting a puddle. I took out a 4" square speed limit sign post that ripped off the spoiler in back and just as I wondered what I had hit the sign came crashing down on the hood. I then did a NASCAR style infield side that completely covered the drivers side window in mud and grass.

When I rolled to a stop in the median I looked back at my tracks and realized I came about 2 feet from entering oncoming traffic in the opposing lanes, I had made it all the way up onto the shoulder before coming back into the center of the median. Scared the **** out of me for sure.

The most embarrasing part was seeing all the cars go by that I had passed in the previous 20 minutes staring at me and laughing I'm sure. Ahhh.... to be 21 again.

i need more HP so I can get scared. I think that big single turbo trq/hp curve would be scary. Wait wait, boom 600 hp.

500 ftlb torque is fun even in 5th or 6th gear on the freeway.
