Thumbs up How many miles on your Procharger? I want your opinions>>

With many memebers here having their Prochargers, I was wondering who has the most miles on their supercharged Z (how many miles have you driven since the install)???
Also, I'd like to have your opinions on any problems that you have experienced

Thanks!

1000 miles. Belt squeal at start up when cold for about 10-15 secs. Other than that it is perfect. I have been emailing ATI for about a week but we have not found the fix yet. It is getting very anoying.

Hey daddy...
Any idea what your new 1/4 times are? I understand that you expected more by your post, but I am not sure what level they were set at. What else have you driven to give you your impressions? I am in no way discounting your opinion, just trying to get an idea of your level of expectation to see if mine will be met. Thanks for your help.

Not fast enough? Are you sure you are tuned correctly? This car is EXTREMELY fast now. What exactly were you looking for?

500 miles or so. Very fast. Never squeals. Some noise, but with the belt to the SC itself set a bit soft it's not a problem and entirely acceptable. TRANSFORMS the car. If a Procharger car does not feel fast, something is wrong somewhere. On mine, the tach spins from 3,000 to red line like a cartoon. It makes my old stage 3 300 twin turbo feel lethargic.

My other car is a 92 Dodge Stealth TT and my Procharged Z makes it feel like a slug!

69 Corvette 12.90 1/4 mile
97 GSR JRSC 13.86 1/4 mile
02 RSX 75 shoot 13.54 1/4 mile

I took it back to Grubbs Infiniti to see if all was OK ..... they said mine "felt" the fastest of all the ones they had done (all others were G35s) They never tuned it or dyno'd it but I was told they would pay for it if I would take it to Lone Star Performance in Garland.

I will do that as soon as I add the Borla combo I ordered yesterday.

I am hoping to get the car to at least turn a 12.90 ?

I expect it to turn in the 12s
I am going to get some G-Force Drag Radials today and see if I can get better traction. I wasn't getting good traction before the procharger and now it is very bad.

Well, that explains it.

One thing I can agree with completely - if you are contemplating geting a Procharger without getting wider &/or better rubber, forget about it. There is more power than the stock tire / wheel set-up can handle or effectively exploit. Bigger brakes are good idea too....

My squeal may be gone! I tighten the serp. belt and adjusted the front cog belt and zip tied a wire that looked like it was rubbing on the serp. belt. The result is no noise but it may be too early to tell. I hope it works but for the record no squeal now.
