At what level do you think is to much power for a DD. No hate to people who have a need for speed, but how much power do u consider enough and not CRAZY.Not everyone can control a 1300whp Supra.lol So what do you thinks is the average WHP u F/I Z's and G's find ample and not get TIRED of. Flame suit on.

500rwhp is what i believe most people would agree with. Anything over 500rwhp and you won't be getting tracting anytime soon on the road.

I used to drive 525whp all the time. Now I drive 605whp (low boost) all the time. The difference is big. Not so much in straight line, still have issues with hooking up in 2nd or 3rd if its cold, but in the twisties especially coming out of a corner hard its a damn handful. Not many guys IMO can control even 600whp on street tires well enough to keep the car in one piece.

My answer 500whp is perfect for the street for a WELL BALANCED car. Any fool can drive around on DR's all the time and have straight line traction and a Z or G that handles like a school bus.

I would agree, 500whp is most likely a good number for around town. And as noted above the car should be well balanced, good suspension, rear end etc...

I should point out that some ricers have proven that 130 FWHPR is too much

I'd be scared to race them only for the fact that when they start squirming do 80 mph on their 205 or 215's, they might squirm right into me.

For some it may be low, for others high. Approx 500whp is the daily driving power where its not near overwhelming, its controllable by most tires, and out of corners without being crazy. Half throttle coming out of a corner near the limit is nasty sideways action.

As you add power you have to add tire, alignment, gearing, etc to help you put it to use. I can hookup 605whp from 2nd gear (when warm out) but it needs to be from a 50mph roll-and thats with 295 KDW's, -1 rear camber and a 3.3FD....

It ultimately depends on the driver, there's people who can't handle a 300whp car and there's others that can drive around with insane power all day. Alberto for example running 605whp as the daily driver setting, then a whole lot more when he changes maps. There's guys rolling around in 8sec civics by me sad ill admit, but nasty as all heck and they drive them as a daily driver.

But you absolutely must have all the supporting mods to go with that power, if you can't put it down and the car can't handle it, what's the point of having that much then.

depends on the method of FI to be honest. I have felt some ST setups that i would leave at 400whp, SC setups i really havent had an issue with yet( highest being approx 450whp) and i havent had the luck of driving a TT yet.

ya the steeper the torque curve, the less streetable it is.

look at the powerlab kit at 21 psi. between 4000 and 4700 rpms it jumps like 400 ft-pounds
