Jeremy did officially quit on the 18th of May as far as I know. I recieved a PM on the 20th from Jeremy@Altered (obviously it wasn't Jeremy though) stating that he had quit on Monday.

All I can say is Performance Factory and Jeremy ****ed me. I used to love my car, but they took it and totally ****ed it straight into the dirt. He takes his friends, promises the world, gives them parts at cost and cheap labor, and then puts them in a situation where they are VERY LAST on his list of priorities. At that point, to fix his mistakes, he'll use how he's helped on prices and labor to **** you, make you feel guilty for wanting your car back, and make you feel like your car is at stake if you get out of line. Then you get ignored/griefed if you tried to contact them. Then, he lets your car sit there not getting fixed, and calls you out on the forum if you even consider talking to anyone about getting ****ed over by him and his shop.

It REALLY sucks *** when a shop holds your car hostage, does shoddy work, and then blackmails you to keep your mouth shut. I know, he did it to me and had my car for over a year.

Now, I won't say that Jeremy himself does bad work, but his people at his shop (AJ) turned my car into something that looks like it went through a chop shop, and ended up blowing my turbo with a poorly routed oil return (which I'm still dealing with), and giving me back a car that runs rough and obviously has some issues with tuning. I ended up taking the car back not done and not running as well as it should because I couldn't handle it anymore.

I know of at least one person that's been screwed as well (even worse) and hasn't said anything because their car is at stake.

I talked to him briefly via text last December and he did offer to have my car shipped to MD to get broken down for the 3rd time, but honestly I wouldn't take my car back even to get the oil changed, much less if it had to be shipped across the country. Too little, too late.

I know this comes across as a bit harsh, but I feel like I got screwed out of thousands of dollars for making the mistake of taking it to performance factory. I also got screwed out of payment for the website I built for the shop, spent 100+ hours on, and never got a dime for.

This is why I've been absent from the Z community for the past year. Thinking about it all makes me absolutely sick and I'm done with it. I just hate to see anyone else going through the same thing.

This has taught me a hard lesson, and I'll never modify the engine on another car again.

Please post up the total you paid and the total amount of work done on your car.

 

One more thing to add - Jeremy is a cool guy and can be a good friend when it comes down to it. He can turn wrenches but he is not someone who should be involved in customer service and running a business. He drove PF into the ground by taking on more than he could handle, not expanding his business to meet the need, not hiring the right help, and not putting the customer first. It ultimately alienated a lot of people like myself.

No, Jeremy. I don't think you understand how you make customers feel when you hold their car for a year and blackmail them with how you've "helped" them. It's a ****ing helpless situation when someone has your car and you can't do anything about it.

You put people in that situation, like it or not, and you have never been called out on it.

This needs to be heard so others don't fall into the same trap.


I think those that have been around the forums for a while know that I supported you tooth and nail even though you tried to drag my name through the dirt to save your own reputation.

I don't have anything to lose anymore, so all I have is the absolute truth.

 

It's definitely not a trap. Its a complete waste of time and money on my part and i tried to be the nice guy and do SO much to help out. I have learned a lot. Everything in writing, on paper, signed by the owner, every time. This will never happen again.

What about the motor built twice, the sunken pistons, the problems with the crank/timing, the months of it sitting untouched while other cars rolled through the shop.

I don't even know how much I ended up paying because you never even gave me a receipt. I just wanted my car back after you'd destroyed it for a year.

All of the "extra work" was caused by your shoddy engine builds and work. You can't hold your customers responsible for what you do wrong, no matter how you'd like to.

 

What? You mean how you "helped" to smooth over the problems that your work created? Your "help" actually ****ed me. I wish I left my car with Sharif to pay a little more and get the job done right the FIRST time.

Where's my invoice? You put it all under the table probably because you were afraid you'd get sued.

Hey man, it's been allright. I've just been staying away from the car scene for the most part because thinking about it all disgusts me.

I'm going to be rebuilding my turbo soon and selling the car for next to nothing. Less than what I paid PF I believe.
