On a fresh build and tune?......Are you a gambling man?

Just my opinion.

And for the record...I dont have an A/F in my set-up right now and haven't for a little bit. I did at first but for whatever reason they like to not work very well in my car and go bad (sensor). Honestly, it doesn't bother me and I haven't gotten my 3rd one. When they did work my A/F was spot on so Im not as concerned about it anymore b/c of other gauges. I run EGT and Boost. If I need to see anything else I open up my virtual dash where everything is available to me.

1. of course, why else would you pay a tuner $200/hr. if you dont feel comfortable that your tuner is doin it right, why would u go there? I have never left Forged wondering if my car was going to pop.

2. of course things can change. If something was so wrong, CEL will pop up. all the decent EMS's have knock control and overboost protection. If the car was super lean/rich, it stutters and run likes crap.

3. your points are semi valid if he was NEVR goin to get gauges. He said drive 5 days.

ya show me those threads where the people had no gauges and popped their motor. I bet every one of them had gauges.

Apologize for the dick comment, but you proudly self proclaim that right in your sig.

1. Thats good you feel very confident in Sharif's tune, however even Sharif runs gauges in his own cars, so if you feel not having/looking at gauges is a sign of trust, you must trust Sharif more than he trust himself, also how do you know his tuner is as good as Sharif? its not like many other tuners in the US havn't blown up people's cars, its one of the only reason people send their cars all the way to CA to GTM from the east coast, all the way to Forged from Chicago/LA/FL, all the way from CT to Performance Factory, the fact is good tuners are hard to come by and you don't even know how good his tuner is, so why would you go under the assumption his tuner is good and tell him to boost with the tune he just got.. yeah you might pay $200/hr for a tune, but it doesn't come with a warranty if you blow your motor

2. Do you know what EMS he has? how can you tell if his EMS will compensate? i have an F-Con and everytime it detects the motor is has a problem it dumps fuel like nobody's buiness, then i'm running 10:1 at idle and its a smoke show, without an AFR you have no idea what your A/F is and you won't know what the hell is going on. In that situation a Good EMS is not going to tell you what is going on, its just fixing the problem. Knock Control and Overboost Compenstation doesn't help you when you're driving at 2000 RPMS with 10% Throttle position and your car is sputtering and jerking black smoke is pillowing out your exhaust..

3. I'm going to address your 5 days comment in my next reponse.. hold on

I'm at work, so i was able to dig up one thread for you.. here you go: https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...went-boom.html

8 miles... only a boost gauge (which he wasn't paying attention to) .. no AFR Gauges.. nothing else... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

My signature was to silence the people who kept following me around thread by thread showing me that there was a poll telling me i was voted the number 1 douchebag on this forum, so instead of having to acknowledge them every thread i post, i put it in my signature.. and you know what? since then they haven't posted it again.. it was self proclomation... it was silence the haters

Seriously though... Why risk your investment in a build for 5 more days of waiting??? I'd air on the side of caution regardless. Why be impatient or in such a hurry to get your FI car back without something as important as supplementary gauges??? It's only 5 days.

Yep. CiNcity did them. $3700 to do my headlights, tail lights, and sidemarkers.

They were considerably cheaper and with more mods/features than clearcorners.com.

My lights aren't installed on my G yet. Will post up pics of those once the build is complete.

Nah, that was the total including the tails and sidemarkers. I honestly don't remember what the price was for the headlights. I also asked for some things that had never been done before. Mine are the first set of G35 headlights with the R8 LED mod and the first set of G35 tails and sidemarkers that CiNcity has ever worked on.

I decided to go with LED's in the tails instead of the CCFL's that were tested in that vid. I didn't like the dark spot in the CCFL rings and wanted to keep the LED theme consistent with the rest of the lights. Don't have pics or vids of the new version of the tails yet. Still waiting to hear back from Ryan at CiNcity.
