I think it has to do with the Mounting bracket.

i dont think theres any real difference, it just matters cause there is an automatic kit that comes with it for like relocating trans. coller or somethin u can just buy seperate..call vortech thats ur best bet

well it depends if you are manual or auto. like mentioned above the auto comes with extra items bc there wasnt a rev-up auto in those years.

in manual, you had rev-up motors in those years so the bracket is different.
