I'm looking to purchase an APS ST FMIC but having trouble finding someone to source it for me. I have emailed a few APS stockists but unfortunatly I get no reply or a reply that states you cannot buy it seperatly.

If you cannot buy it seperatly how do you replace one if you were involved in an accident etc?

Anyway if there is a reputable shop out there that can get me one please let me know.

did you call APS and they said they wont sell you one?

 

aps prob won't sell it annd if so it will take a few weeks. you think about a custom one?

 

Did you ask the guys at Z1 if they can have one sent over?? Try Forged too since Sharif is a dealer now. One of these vendors should be able to order the individual part for you, although it may take a while for it to arrive here in the states.

Good luck and please post your resolution when you find one since other APS owners may be in the same position someday.

 

I had to buy another intercooler because of my accident, shop(MRC) got it from APS no problem. There are some knockoffs out there also, but this was for the TT kit. Look around.

 

Did you try calling APS directly? They are in Australia, and would probably be easier to get it from them rather than the states!!

LOL. I tried that first. The response was we cannot get it for you as we do not sell the APS ST in Australia.

I tried Z1 in the past as I have had good service from them but no joy.

I understand that APS gets them made by someone else. the thing is I'm running a HKS ST kit and the layout of the APS will suit my HKS setup.

Thx. I have tried Autotech which is one of our larger APS tuners but basically the answer was no as ST kit is not sold in Australia. This was about 6 months ago

I'll try again though.

 

Not sure you will find the ST kits anywhere, they have been discontinued for a while now, at least 6 months.

 

Hmm. thanks for the heads up.

Left to right cores are easy to find but vertical cores that size are not. I came across http://www.bellintercoolers.com/ but they do bar and plate not tube and fin. I looked into the HKS cores but I would need 2 side by side to get the size. Spearco I have heard mixed reviews about. PWR www.pwr.com.au seem to have good reviews also.

If I do go down the custom path and core recomendations. Basicaly i will duplicate the APS design

 

Does the APS ST only have one inlet? You may be able to buy the TT version and just plug one inlet? I'm not familiar enough with the design to know if that would affect flow or not. One of the shop down there has to be able to help you out with this.... keep calling around is my suggestion.

Yes the ST has one inlet. I have looked into buying a APS TT IC and cutting off the bottom end tank and getting one re made. I believe the FMIC has cast end tanks which would make the removal difficult without damaging the core.

I can't be sure but I would think that the APS IC is made by Power. There both out of Melbourne. Give them a call on a custom unit.
At least there will be no OS shipping costs
