Default Help with turbo maps

i'm doing further research and calculations to find the best turbos for the car and i can't figure out how to map it. i've studied all the formulas and done the calculations for the z, and the calculations after the new bottom end went in. the thing i don't understand is if you're going to use twin turbos, do you calculate for half the pistons when you calculate displacement? i calculated for both 10 and 15 psi of boost. they both end up landing somewhere in the 40 lbm/min corrected air flow margin with the wastegate (set at 10#) landing somewhere in the 20psi range. neither are anywhere near the efficiency islands of the turbos that i can find maps for (garrett GT2860RS, GT3071R, really any of the garrett...) can someone help?

those are done for the 3.0

VQ will spool faster and will put down more power

I think you'll find what you're looking for in the tech tutorials in the link above. Calculate the consumption of air across the rpm band for the 216 cubic inches of displacement in your built (3.54L?) shortblock. Take the calculated air mass and divide it by two since each turbocharger will be supplying equal quantities of air, then map onto the compressor map. Keep in mind there is roughly a 1 psi loss across the IC and piping, so pick whatever boost you want to run and add 1 for true compressor outlet pressure.

Good job mapping out turbo requirements. Rather than relying on speculation, you'll get a much better understanding of the potential and the limitations for the setup you finally decide upon. Enjoy!

you can also look at shop build as all those turbo combos have been done.
