Veilside Supercharger *Pics*
I found some pics of the Veilside Supercharger.
Looks like the same design as Stillen's supercharger.
Also it looks like it has nitrous hooked up to it as well.
Whats the story on this thing does anybody know?
Heres the link.

My opinion is going down and down after what I've been seeing they are doing with the Z's. The bodykits except for V1 look too much imo, and now their supercharger will also require another hole in hood, or raised hood.. They need to get back to making more "clean" modifications!

I agree with Ricky. In addition, the one kit that looks nice has serious fitment issues. The V1 lips have been cracking like crazy. A number of people have complained about this. If they can't make a lip that fits the Z, no way in hell I would trust them to make a SC. Not likely I would buy a roots-type SC for the Z anyhow.

You guys know that Veilside has a hood for the supercharger? Cause you'll have to cut a hole on the hood, then the supercharger will stick out of there!!!
personally I think it's ugly...
I have a pic of it on a magazine, but my scanner just died

Guys, I've spoken with Veilside recently. They said that they are still preparing the supercharger kit.
They said that it will cost about 840,000 JPY. The whole kit includes the SC, ECU, and the bonnet hood. Without that special hood the bonnet will not close, unless you make a hole in it.
They claimed that their test car went up to about 380 hp, but they also said that it had a exhaust manufold (equal length, of course) which will not be included in the kit.
Unfortunately they weren't sure when they will release the kit. They hope they can start selling before the end of the year.
Stay tuned. I will have a chance to test drive their demo-car.

Time for you to do more research about what veilside is really all about.

Actually, since the PJY has been falling in relation to the dollar (gaining value) recently, 840K JPY is actually closer to $7636.36. If the yen continues to fall, American exports will be cheaper for Japan, but japanese exports will be more expensive for you US. Yea....NOT!

Curious.... 3 questions,
Is it even possible for the Stillen SC to fit under the V3 hood that Veilside offers?
Also, being new to the whole forced induction ideas, how likely is it to damage your Z if you get the Stillen SC, and could someone explain how it will or will not and just general information about adding one? ie. when you will see signs of damage, what will it damage, is it worth the money for 50whp?
Off the subject of SC's/forced induction, which CAI would be the best choice. Everyone's site says what they will push out, but I some are not correct on exactly how much hp gain they will give... so was just wondering if anyone knew which was the best from personal experience of common knowledge.
Thanks.

i doubt the Stillen SC will fit under the v3 hood
Running the Stillen SC can be safe. IF you run at low boost. One thing about the Stillen vs. the Veilside unit is the efficency issues. Veilside is finding with the stillen set up, that not all the cylinders are recieving the proper amount of air that it is capable of.
I would wait on an intake until after you get the SC or FI alternative. The piping design may interfere with the current design CAI.
Also Veilside still makes the best quality body kits on the market. As for performance parts from veilside, go ask the supra owners about veilside quality. In japan veilside is regarded as an elite tuning company, that is known for building some of the best motors in the tuner world.

However, I am getting the Borla exhaust system including the headers. Since I will not be getting a SC anytime soon, which would be recomended to get. I heard that AEM goes great with Borla exhausts. Or maybe I am just clueless to the fact that different brand of CAI's will interfere with different brand of exhausts. Any advice or teachings?
Thanks again.
