Great job Sharif!

I am not that good at judging driving from a video, but it looked like you cut time by straightening some of the tight stuff on your last lap. (And being able to give it just a little more throttle/carry more speed through those spots)

Yeah, this was a tricky track as hell. The first tight stuff was just murder on a big heavy car like the GT-R. I think with a little more seatime on this track, a lower 1:30 would be in reach.

But hats off to Ryan Gates. This guy is just 22 years old, and has some terrific skill around the track. At Nashville, I promise to make it a little harder for him.

Here are a few more pics.

Our rig and setup:

AMS had a little bit bigger rig and setup

Here is the business end of my office.

Quite a large turnout at this event.

Nice job Sharif,
If I would have known you guys were up this way I would have gone and introduced myself...you were up near my neck of the woods.....

South track probably suits the GTR better than the north would. North is smaller, tighter, and tends to be better for the light cars.

Yeah, we strip it down for competition, and the return it all back to stock.

Yes, JC Meynet does compete in the same class with us, but he doesnt have plans to hit the eastern half events. We will be competeting against him later this year, NV, and CA.

next up, Nashville. where i think forged will kick *** and where i will try to defend my title from last years time attack. i think ryan will have his work cut out for himself against sharif and the gtr on a big track like nashville.

everytime the gtr went by me in the pits, all i could think about was selling my car.......damn that car sounds good!!!

i managed a 1:43 in my nismo and 3rd place street rwd with my clutch pedal fading all day sunday and a front caliper leaking at the beginning of my first time attack session. but i still went out and pushed it the best i could. i was sandwiched between 4 S2000's in the final standings. they were very fast on this track.

hopefully with some of the minor changes being made to my car with the help from forged performance i can have a better showing than i had in chicago thanx sharif and sandy, and good luck in nashville. see ya there.
