A simple re-flash via Osirus to scale the OEM ECU for the bigger inectors should solve all your starup issues. I iditched UTEC years ago for other reason such as it's inablity ot tranasiton between on/off boost maps smootlhy at high RPM.

you could do the reflash but might as well just upgrade to haltech. alot more options, two step function, closed and open loop control, upgradeable wideband setup, injector latency etc. haltech is a great upgrade!

Reflash ECU will " might " require retune Utec. That will cost another $500+, like jtran said save little and sell that utec, upgrade to haltech. Or Solo-350z said, you can switch to osiris, but that will cost you another 1k, but i think jtran doesn't do osiris.

whatever ems you go with, you'll still need the flash on the ecu to get rid of the speed limiter and help with start-up/idle for the same reasons G3po mentioned. And the bigger your injectors, the more it matters.
won't really matter as much with the utec. i could never get over its shitty crossover point between vacuum and boost. annoying as hell. ditched mine for a vpro. haltech platinum is a good choice as well
your car is coming along atx. keep at it.

It dosn't have as much to do with base fuel pressure and more , how long it takes a piggyback to rescale the injectors "while cranking.
The stock ECU reflashed to pre-scale the larger injectors is the fastest way to crank and start the engine "before" a Piggyback has time to intervene. If you ever wan't to raise the rev limter , speed limiter etc, , you will need a reflash regardless of UTEC or Haltech. So if you iever ntend to raise these paramters , it is most pradtical to also scale the injectors in the same re-flash. Using a Haltech just gets better from there.

I guess i'm on the abnormal condition of not having hot/cold starts. Mine cranks and turns on like stock everytime. I do have a technosquare reflash from when I was NA but thats about it. Wonder why some have problems starting and some don't on the UTEC. Transitions from vaccum to boost hasn't been much of a problem either.
Glad to hear the car is running strong ATX. Gotta get that daily so you won't worry as much.
