Default Built motor members. Setups and feedback wanted

Alright, so i'm starting to see some feedback threads on different parts and figured it would be great to bring more information about motor builds to one central location.

Some things that I wonder about.

What your setups include? Rods, pistons, sleeves (if any), headwork, valves, etc...
Who did your build? Local machine shop or shops off the forums?
What kind of power levels were you running?
How long did it last? What kind of driver were you? Casual, weekend only, daily, track, etc...
What kind of issues if any did you have?
Were the issues tune related or install related if known?

Thanks in advance for all your input guys.

Who did your build? Local machine shop or shops off the forums?
Sound Performance did all work

How long did it last? What kind of driver were you? Casual, weekend only, daily, track, etc...

Many forged performance s1/s2 shortblocks out there. None have failed to my knowledge. I believe I have over 15k miles on mine now in the 450-520 whp range (depending on DD or DJ dyno) at 14-15 psi on 93 pump, over 2 years as a daily driver (except a few months in the winter it seems to spend at Forged). It was dyno'd most recently at ZdayZ this past May on Injected's dyno and it was at 505 whp on their DD. UOA has been pretty good.

Only issue I had was oil filter popping off during a high speed run (the oil filter sandwich adapter was the only customer supplied part in the build - I saved 40 bucks and risked 10k, nice!).

Do:

L19s
cosworth gasket
wiseco pistons
bc rods
......thats it........

if you do anything else to the heads do
bc stg2 cams
bc springs+ti retainers

fuel
retrun system..
bigger injectors

Others
boost controller

Consider:
standalone ems
radiator
oil cooler
good exhaust if you havent gotten one yet

the rest of your kit stock and you are good .
That should be simple enough to put you in the 520-550whp range

Forged Performance (Arias pistons, pauter rods, no sleeves, bc cams, stock heads); APS-TT original kit, FCON, Greddy exhaust, Exedy twindisc clutch, 3.3 VLSD; HKS coilovers;

512whp DD at ZdayZ this year;
504whp DD at Forged Performance;

27K miles total FI miles and still going strong! - car was built in 2006. Daily driven around 8-10K miles per year - FUN to drive everyday, Sharif tells me my car drives like a lexus compared to his GTR (Godzilla), lol

No major issues. Just find a shop that will not screw you over, build the car and trust with the shop owner -- and drive the car everyday you can; thats key - drive the car as often as possible.

No tune related issues. Good shop, good tune, happy customer.

Setup: FWD VQ35DE block (being used in my maxima), Wiseco 8.8:1, Eagle H beam rods, ACL bearings, HR head gasket, HR head bolts, DE main bolts, Rev up oil pump, stock cams and heads.

Built by my self, machine work(redecking, boring, balancing) done at Southflorida Automotive, and Mesa Balancing.

Currently at 13-15psi (need upgrade in WG spring) from a single HX35 Holset turbo. No dyno just estimation, ~380-400whp through an automatic.
93oct, meth/water injection.

1,890miles so far, daily driver.

No engine related issues.
